Julia Digaetano serves as the Geotechnical Engineering Department for Soil Consultants Engineering. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Mary Washington, and her background includes extensive field engineering work, detailed technical reporting, and oversight of complex investigations.
Julia has led the successful delivery of several high-profile geotechnical projects, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Expansion, the Carderock Naval Facility Expansion, the Andrews Joint Base Alert Facility, and the P402 Anechoic Chamber at the Dahlgren Naval Support Facility. Her role has encompassed hands-on fieldwork, report authorship, and project management, where she has been instrumental in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical accuracy, and driving projects from concept through completion.
In addition to her technical leadership, Julia is a strong advocate for STEM education in public schools. She supports Prince William County and the City of Manassas school systems through volunteer efforts, classroom presentations, and mentoring high school students in early career development. She is committed to sharing her passion for geology, science, and practical, logic-based problem-solving in both her professional practice and community engagement."
