We're looking for full-time, dedicated people who are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.  On large Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. construction projects, you will perform construction inspections and materials testing (concrete, soil & asphalt). 

Although no experience is necessary, experience in construction is a plus, and Geology graduates are encouraged to apply. We will train the right candidate! You will work closely with experienced Field Technicians and Project Management. 

Responsibilities

• On large construction projects, performing inspections and material testing  (concrete, soil & asphalt).
• Communicate clearly to customers and customer representatives while on the job site.
• Conform to Safety Standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain and adhere to all NRC regulations and requirements.

Qualifications

• Certifications in concrete, soil, and asphalt testing.
• Degree in Engineering, or Geology a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

Project Manager will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are coordinated and completed. The job requires cooperation, coordination, problem solving and written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Project supervision, and quality control of field work and from proposal preparation to issuance of final reports.
• Coordinate and attend pre-construction meetings to clarify specific requirements of each project.
• Review plans/specifications.
• Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
• Manage client expectation and troubleshoot issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular site visits
• Supervise field technicians, mentor and review work Dailies.

 Perform construction inspections for commercial and residential projects

Qualifications

• Must be certified as either WACEL Foundation, ICC Residential Building, Reinforced Concrete Inspector, or equivalent with knowledge of the ACI, IRC, and IBC codes.
• Previous experience in construction or as a soil technician and problem soils monitoring is preferred.
• Familiar with Volume Residential Construction, Building Code Inspections, New Home Construction. 
• Multi-Trade Certifications is a Plus (Mechanical, Plumbing, Building and Electrical), but not required.

Requirements

• Three years of prior experience in inspections/construction.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, safe driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate clearly to clients and field personnel.
• Must be able to negotiate unlevel areas in a construction environment safely.
